Special events coming up:

We are participating in the international, ecumenical observance of the Season of Creation. This year's theme is "Peace with Creation." You can read all about it - click here.

Events:

Sundays, 10 am: We will kick off the season with a special liturgy on September 7th celebrating God the Creator. On this and Sundays following, our prayers, confession, and songs will include praise for the Creator and creation, as well as lament and confession for our misuse of it.

Saturday, September 20: Cathedral trip to Spectacle Island. Enjoy the beauty of creation with some recreation and outdoor worship. We have a limited number of free tickets - we hope you’ll join us!

Sunday, September 21: The cathedral will join many other congregations in Boston for a Prayerful Pilgrimage from Old South Church to the Shaw Memorial on Boston Common. The route begins at Old South at 1:00 pm. Join us for songs and prayer, remarks from prominent faith leaders, and calls for a fossil-fuel-free economy!

Saturday, October 4 (The Feast of St. Francis): We join folks from the whole region at St. Andrew’s, Ayer for a one-day conference: Revival and Resilience: Worship in a Time of Climate Crisis. This will be interactive and prayerful, with a great lunch, worshiping indoors and outside.

Sunday, October 5, 10 am: The Feast of St. Francis (obs) will include blessing of the animals, special prayers, and a locavore lunch. All are welcome - please join us!

Deepening Our Prayer

We encourage you to join with folks from all over Province One in daily prayers for creation. Meditations are written by people from the congregations of New England.

Our sanctuary space will be "greened" and will include stations with creation-themed poems and photographs offered by members of the Sunday congregation. We’ll also have "Green Coffee Hours," featuring locally-grown produce and other snacks with low carbon footprints, for our refreshments on Sundays.
