Diocesan Events
The Cathedral Church of St. Paul serves as administrative, event, and liturgical host to the Episcopal Diocese of Massachusetts. As home of Bishop Diocesan, The Rt. Rev. Julia E. Whitworth, the Cathedral provides office and meeting space for diocesan employees as well as providing space for the meetings of various diocesan committees, commissions, and task forces, including the Diocesan Council and Standing Committee.
In addition, our buildings are used for special diocesan events throughout the year, including Diocesan Convention; annual events such as the Fall Clergy Day and Fall Resource Day; Pastoral Episcopal Services such as ordinations, confirmations, and receptions; educational programs including Safe Church and Lay Eucharistic Visitor trainings; and dozens of other events that present themselves as needed. We host public events for social justice and advocacy for groups like Episcopal City Mission.
