Learning to Pray
What is Prayer? Why do we do it? What are different forms of prayer that might enrich my spiritual life, and where do I start? These are questions that all of us live with in different ways, and that are at the heart of every Christian community.
This series "Learning to Pray" is an opportunity for people to come together and wrestle with questions about prayer and to learn various practices of prayer. The course is designed to draw us deeper into a life of prayer through conscious engagement with it—its joys, difficulties, and frustrations—and to be a practical resource, exploring specific forms of prayer to help people connect with God by praying in different ways. It's a chance to learn from one another, experience prayer anew, and participate in enriching, intentional communal discussion.
These first six videos were first used at St. Paul’s, Newburyport and have been adapted for TSPC. We are excited to continue expanding the series in the weeks and months ahead to include a variety of voices and different practices of prayer.
