Join us for a Choral Evensong for Pentecost. All are welcome!

MagnificatBoston, a choir of singers from around the Diocese, will lead a Choral Evensong for Pentecost at the Cathedral Church of St. Paul on June 9th at 5 p.m. with canticles and anthems by Stanford, Stainer, Titcomb and Buxtehude.

Dr. Fredrica Harris Thompsett, teacher, historian, and author of many books including Looking Forward, Looking Backward: Forty Years of Women’s Ordination, will be the preacher. A reception follows with the viewing of a cut from a documentary in production about the Philadelphia 11. The filmmakers will be on hand to share more about the project.

This is a traditional Evening service that is meant to offer refreshment at the end of the day. Come join us for the music and then stay a bit for a reception. The service itself is short, but full to bursting with music.
