The Rev. liz steinhauser - Priest, lead organiser to the crossing

Liberation theology developed my commitment to social justice. Radical Roman Catholic nuns showed me how to make these ideals a reality. Girl Scouts built my arts and crafts skills and repertoire of goofy songs. I bring over 30 years of professional training and experience as a youth worker and community organizer to the position of Pastor and Lead Organizer with The Crossing.

I have worked with the Boston Youth Organizing Project, St. Stephen's Youth Programs, and have taught community organizing to graduate students at the Harvard Kennedy School of Government, undergraduates at Stonehill College, and high schoolers in various organizations throughout Massachusetts. I also work as the Parent Engagement Organizer with AFT, a labor union. I am a graduate of Colgate University and Harvard Divinity School. My family includes two teens, one an aspiring actor and the other a future professional baseball player. We live in Boston where we connect with our community at farmer's markets, the Arnold Arboretum, and Boston Public School events.
