The Pilgrimage is an annual walking journey from St. Paul’s Cathedral in Boston to Emery House in West Newbury, Massachusetts. A group of members of the Cathedral, both homeless and housed, participate in the 60-mile walk takes place over four days. The pilgrims stay in local churches along the way who feed them hot dinners and breakfasts and provide them with packed lunches for the following day. At the end of the pilgrimage, two days are spent in prayer, rest and recovery with the Brothers at Emery House.
The Pilgrimage is also open to those who are not physically able to make the journey. In 2013, more than fifty people participated in the Pilgrimmage, either as walking pilgrims, or as prayer partners, teachers and guides.
